From these pictures you can see how an idea turns into reality. Andrew had been asked to produce a keystone for a door and there is a long tradition of using human or mythical faces for this purpose. A "Green Man" was one possible choice and Andrew developed this idea with a few rough sketches which were transformed into the full size working drawings you can see here, which are what is usually submitted to the client for final approval .The drawings on this page were drawn at a scale of 1:1 and they were used
throughout the actual process of carving. |
Stone Bust from the Roman Era.

He is unnamed but was thought to be one of the elite roman soldiers under Emperor Augustus, time around 2nd quarter of the 1st century bc.The elite soldiers were the cruel ones.

Herakles son of Zeus (the ruler of greek gods) and Alcmene (a human and the wife of the Theban general Amphitryon). Herakles won fame for completing twelve seemingly impossible tasks, known as the labours of Herakles. Known for his strength.

Lions head in Marble. Can be used as a design for a fire place or place a pipe through his mouth and use as a water fountain.
